We had a wonderful experience working with Kustom Sounds for our wedding. From start to finish, they were professional, responsive, and easy to communicate with. Mike kept our guests entertained throughout our reception and, of course, kept the dance floor lively. By the end of our wedding, our guests wanted to keep partying! We would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or special event!

We used DJ Mike from Kustom Sounds for our wedding and he was perfect for the occasion. The setlist and effects were so memorable and made for some really special moments. The dj and music choices had everyone on the dance floor the entire night! He really seemed to care about making this the best wedding possible and went above and beyond for us with a couple really nice surprises. I could not recommend them highly enough and when you go with them make sure to include the cold sparks effects

Kustom Sounds was a great addition to include for our wedding. They made my wife and I feel extra special on our day. Mike took the time to meet with us throughout the evening to check on our moods and find out what we needed. That was much appreciated and it went a long ways. Not to mention Mike killed it with the mix and knew exactly how to get the guests out on the dance floor. Very professional and well worth the $. Thank you KS!

I had my wedding a few weeks ago and DJ Mike was the best!!! He is super easy to work with, very nice, played the perfect songs, and was a fantastic emcee!! He really did such an awesome job playing songs that we wanted which made it feel so much more personalized and kept the vibes just right. Thank you Mike for such a memorable wedding reception!!!

I was very nervous when booking Kustom Sounds Kauai because we are a multiracial couple so we had to make sure that we were inclusive to all of our guests. We created a playlist as a reference for, Benjamin, our DJ and he did a great job at keeping the perfect balance. He had everyone on the dance floor. He definitely created a memorable experience for us and our guests. I would 100% recommend Kustom Sounds for your special event.

10/10 recommend Kustom Sounds Kauai for all of your music needs! We planned a small wedding from mainland on Kauai and found Kustom Sounds through our planner and wow they did not disappoint! The DJ kept the music going and it was the best playlist ever! Our crew was small but we were dancing and everyone loved you guys!! Everyone wished we could have had the dance party going longer! I am a wedding planner who’s worked with Kustom Sounds on countless weddings since 2009. If there were a 6 star rating, I would give it to Kustom Sounds Kauai. I am always so thrilled to hear they are available on my clients’s date whenever I inquire. KSK’s service is impeccable, from the easy booking and questionnaires, to friendly phone consults that are provided whenever clients want to speak with owner Mike Danduran personally. In wedding day, I never concern myself wondering when the DJ will show up, if he/she will be set up in time, etc. They are ALWAYS on time and ready to perform. We’ve had some challenging and at times unusual requests that were always met effectively and professionally, making our couples very happy. Mike knows his craft inside and out! From a technical/mechanical standpoint to refined yet fun emcee services to collaborating with me on editing the timeline to create a more seamless experience for our couples, I can honestly say Mike Danduran has been invaluable for my business. Last weekend was my final wedding as I am closing Lisa Insalata Weddings. Mike Danduran was already booked that day, and enlisted another DJ from Kustom Sounds, Mike Velasquez. I was a little disappointed since this was our last event together. Mike Velasquez demonstrated the same courteous professionalism I expect from Kustom Sounds. He managed to expedite the toasts and speech microphone requirement in a way that made it way easier for the videographer as well as the guests giving the toasts. We also made some last minute adjustments together on the timeline that made for a more streamlined evening and fun for me!! At the end of the evening, the couple mentioned how much they appreciated his service and especially his mixing skills. As my business winds down at the end of 2024, I want to give a huge mahalo to Kustom Sounds Kauai for playing an important role in the success of Lisa Insalata Weddings throughout the years. Thanks for all the encouragement, support, amazing services and of course, keeping the dance floor packed. I’ll miss you!

If you're searching for the coolest, most hard-working, helpful and down-to-earth DJ/Emcee, then look no further. Music is everything to us, and because of their experience, professionalism and kindness, Mike D & his Kustom crew helped make come to life something that had never been done there before through music. Mike D took on the challenge of orchestrating a surprise video with which the Strings of Hawaii accompanied live during our wedding ceremony. The sounds were so magical flowing through the tremendous beauty of our backdrop of Kauai's Hanalei Bay/Mt Makana under the Kamani trees at the 1 Hotel, Kamani Cove. The hope for the emotional impact from that big act of love was expressed so perfectly through music. Still can't believe we pulled it off! So much gratitude... Mike D was a pleasure to work so closely with to help make our ceremony and reception feel like a beautiful dream and the most fun, unique, & memorable time of our life! We'll be back...

We had our reception for a brunch on the second level of Duke’s Kauai, while we were not allowed to have a live DJ we were allowed to have equipment and manage our own music at a low volume as well as video equipment to show a slideshow. They were professional and arrived early to set up the equipment and had a tech on site in order to make sure that the best man was able to operate all of the equipment for the slideshow and for the music we wanted to play. Awesome experience!

We had a wonderful experience with Kustom Sounds Kauai at our July 2024 wedding at the Sheraton Kauai Resort. Before our wedding day, we were able to fill out a detailed questionnaire with all of our song preferences and details about the wedding timeline. Our DJ, Ben, was awesome! He brought a fun energy to our wedding day and did a great job keeping everything on track. He checked in with us personally throughout the night to see if we were happy with song choices. We sent in some examples of songs we wanted for the reception, and he built a great playlist that had everyone on the dance floor for 2 hours! We would highly recommend Kustom Sounds Kauai for weddings!

KSK did an absolutely amazing job as the DJ at our wedding. Prior to the wedding we were able to provide all of the key moments we had planned, input on must play songs we wanted and didn't want, and the overall sort of vibe we wanted. They delivered without flaw - kept our reception moving along at a perfect speed, and the dance floor full the entire time! It was a perfect night!!

Ben at Kuston Sounds Kauai was an excellent DJ for our wedding at The Beach House! He did a great job of creating a song list based on our preferences and always kept the dance floor going. His announcing was excellent and he interacted well with all of our other vendors and with all of our guests.

I have worked with Ben for over 6-years & trust him completely with our weddings. Music & timeline management play a huge roll in the success of a reception & ultimately those elements fall on the DJ's shoulders. When Ben is our DJ, I know I have nothing to worry about. He speaks our venue's language, he works incredibly well with our staff, the other wedding vendors, our couples & even more so; he's reliable & professional. We had our destination wedding in Kauai this past May and it definitely adds a little extra stress when you can't meet all your vendors in person ahead of the event. That said, the KSK Team, Mike in particular, totally put my mind at ease and were professional, responsive and had us fill out a super thorough survey of our preferences (which they abided by 100% on the day of). Mike was so good at reading the room and capturing our desired vibes. Our dance floor was full the entire night, with our photographer staying an extra hour to capture everything because we were all having so much fun. I would definitely recommend Kustom Sounds Kauai to any and everyone.

Mike was a huge part of making our wedding feel so special at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai. He was professional, energetic, and an expert at keeping the night moving according to schedule. Several guests commented that the dance that Mike curated was the best they’ve ever experienced at a wedding. Additionally, Mike made all of our guests feel special with his idea to honor our guests’ first dances during dinner. Every couple commented on how moved they were by Mike’s idea. It was the perfect touch and something we would have never thought of on our own. He also did an incredible job providing the sound for our ceremony and happy hour. I can’t recommend Kustom Sounds Kauai more for a wedding or special event! You won’t be disappointed!

We hired KSK for our destination wedding on the South Shore in August 2018. Mike reached out to us immediately after we requested more information. Mike and his team responded to our questions quickly and professionally. The day of our wedding, Mike was our DJ. He used our pre-chosen songs but also added in other songs that were similar, and he did a great job of reading the room, even though we had a very small amount of guests. We also hired a live musician through KSK, but when that musician didn't arrive at the correct time to perform for our ceremony (just by a smidge), Mike suggested to my coordinator to not follow through by giving him a tip. Overall we were very happy with KSK!

I had contact with Mike, the big boss, throughout most of my planning. Kustom Sounds is so professional, they make sure to get all your wedding details early, so that your assigned DJ will know exactly how to set up and keep the party going. Our DJ Zack was phenomenal. I’m still getting compliments on our music selection, but more than that: having the dance floor packed with people of all ages was just priceless. So happy I went with this company!

We had DJ Zack as our DJ and he was phenomenal. We submitted our music requests quite late, but Zack still managed to nail it. I just wish I would have asked for a playlist it was so good! Would definitely recommend using Kustom Sounds, and DJ Zack 🙂

Kustom Sounds Kauai: SUPERB all around! I'll start off with saying that Mike Dandurand was the DJ at my 6th grade graduation. Twenty-two years later, Mike was DJing my wedding evening and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Easy to work with, responds quickly to emails, and on the night of everything went as smooth as possible. I provided quite the extensive list of songs for the reception and I think he played just about as many that could fit into the night. All my guests raved about the music as well and said it was the best dance party they've ever been to. Mike was in his groove and you can tell music is his passion. Please be kind to Kustom Sounds Kauai by ensuring you send the ceremony and reception guide form one month in advance. It helps ease their process. Support a small local business!
